The 2026 trip to Kolsai Lakes and the Black Canyon is aimed at promoting mountain tourism, physical activity, and a healthy lifestyle among students of KBTU. The project seeks to encourage young people to explore the natural landmarks of Kazakhstan and develop a sustainable culture of active and environmentally conscious recreation.
The hike provides students with an opportunity to step away from urban life and academic routines, immersing themselves in a natural environment while challenging themselves on a mountain route. This contributes to the development of endurance, teamwork, mutual support, and responsibility, while also improving participants’ physical and emotional well-being.
The event also plays an important role in broadening students’ understanding of Kazakhstan’s natural and tourism potential. Visiting unique locations such as the Kolsai Lakes and the Black Canyon fosters respect for natural heritage, strengthens environmental awareness, and encourages responsible attitudes toward nature.
In addition, the trip serves as a key element in diversifying student life by creating opportunities for informal communication, strengthening friendships, and building a more cohesive university community. Shared experiences on the route help reinforce unity among students from different faculties and academic years.
Furthermore, the project enhances the image of KBTU as a university that supports a healthy lifestyle, student tourism, and the holistic development of young people.
