Bogdanovich Glacier is located south of Almaty at an altitude of 3,500 meters above sea level. It is part of the Zailiyskiy Alatau range and is named after the famous Russian scientist Andrey Bogdanovich. The glacier is a massive flow of ice descending from mountain peaks, fed by snow and ice.
