The “Resume Roast 2026” project is aimed at enhancing students’ career readiness and increasing their competitiveness in the job market by providing professional resume evaluations from HR specialists and IT industry professionals. The project offers participants practical recommendations on improving the structure, content, and presentation of their resumes in accordance with modern employer expectations.
The main objective of the event is to help students create high-quality and professional resumes that effectively showcase their skills, achievements, experience, and career potential. Within the project, participants receive expert feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of their resumes, common mistakes in resume writing, and recommendations on tailoring resumes for specific industries and job positions.
Special attention is given to developing students’ understanding of current labor market trends, IT company expectations, and candidate selection processes. Participants gain insight into the criteria recruiters and HR professionals focus on during the initial resume screening stage, helping them better prepare for internships, trainee programs, and future employment opportunities.
The project also contributes to the development of self-presentation and professional positioning skills. Through interaction with experts, students learn how to effectively present their competencies, projects, achievements, and experience gained through academic, extracurricular, and university activities, creating a stronger and more confident professional image.
Furthermore, “Resume Roast 2026” creates a platform for interaction between students and industry professionals, strengthens connections between the university and the professional community, and contributes to the development of career culture within KBTU. The project also reinforces the university’s image as an educational environment focused on practical student development and career support.
